Off to Brazil with vigor

With our new partner Cargo Shipping Services, we are strengthening the important trade route to Latin America for our customers

German companies exported goods worth 10.5 billion euros to Brazil in 2021 - in particular chemical products, machinery and vehicles. Raw materials and foodstuffs worth 7.5 billion euros in particular were returned. "Following the various delivery restrictions imposed by the coronavirus, more and more companies are now interested in taking advantage of new or renewed trade opportunities with this large market," explains Stefan Erler, Head of Sales at Rieck Sea Air Cargo International. "We want to support this with a strong offer."

Brazil is the largest economy and Germany's most important economic partner in Latin America.

Rieck has strengthened its position in two ways: firstly, we brought our new partner CSS on board at the beginning of the year. The company specializes in air and sea freight as well as road transport and warehousing. CSS shares our high understanding of service and strong customer orientation.

On the other hand, we were able to recruit a new Tradelane Manager Latin America: Mirella Oliveira from Brazil not only has a great deal of logistics expertise and in-depth market knowledge. She is also very well connected and therefore an ideal interface between our operational departments, the CSS Group and companies interested in exporting and importing.

"Close local relationships, a constant exchange of experience and constantly optimizing processes - this is how we create the best solutions for our customers."

The concept is being well received: The shipment volumes to and from Brazil have already increased significantly. We are currently mainly active in the automotive sector, but shipments for the agricultural industry are also increasing steadily. Are you also interested?
