Nature is slowly awakening, the temperatures are getting warmer - time to spruce up the garden and set it up beautifully. Whether rustic garden benches, elegant privacy fences or sturdy playhouses: Mega-Holz's wide range has been offering the right product for all garden lovers for almost 20 years. "In addition to quality, a high level of service is important to us. And here we are particularly flexible thanks to our in-house production," explains Lars Höger, Managing Director of Mega-Holz. "This means that individual requirements or subsequent order changes are no problem for us."
The delivery service also has to be flexible - because volumes fluctuate greatly throughout the year. The number of shipments is highest from March to June; in winter, orders are only placed sporadically. The Rieck site in Dresden has been responsible for shipping for four years and collects the palletized goods from the Mega-Holz headquarters in Zittau and delivers them to end customers throughout Germany and Austria.
At the same time, shipping volumes are rising continuously - currently by around 20 percent annually! Mega-Holz comes from the traditional bricks-and-mortar retail sector with a small branch network. For some years now, the branch network has been reduced and the focus has been placed on online retail. With success: online sales have risen from 15 to 95 percent of total sales within eight years.
"As we almost exclusively ship bulky goods, it wasn't easy for us to find a reliable partner," summarizes Lars Höger. "We are all the happier about working with Rieck: the goods arrive safely and on time and the contact with the drivers is always nice."
