"Customs clearance has been one of our areas of expertise for decades," explains Stefan Seedorf, Team Leader Customs. "But the demand for expertise and speed has risen continuously. We have therefore decided to pool our expertise across the company." The result is a central Rieck customs department that has state-of-the-art IT technology and works closely with customs. We also work closely with our international partners so that, for example, sea freight shipments from Asia that pass through Rotterdam are cleared through customs directly to the German final recipient.
Security and speed have priority. Digital clearance has the highest IT security and encryption standards. Import customs clearance during transportation ensures that there are no delays in the transport chain. And as a regulated agent with AEO status and a direct ATLAS connection, we can save our customers time and money by facilitating customs clearance.
Competence through qualification
The entire team has many years of experience and attaches great importance to individual support: for example, our employees assist with customs inspections or help with applications for the necessary permits. In addition to day-to-day business such as sea freight import customs clearance, the tasks also include tricky projects - for example the import customs clearance of a genuine Mongolian shepherd's tent including a fireplace and weapons for an exhibition in Speyer.
