The 23-year-old has an unusual career path behind him. After completing his Abitur, he started at Rieck Entsorgungs-Logistik with an apprenticeship as an office management assistant and had frequent contact with professional truck drivers during this time. And for Jonas Piepenbring it quickly became clear: he wanted to drive a truck himself! Apprentice manager Michael Kropp was delighted with his interest and supported him in fulfilling his childhood dream.
Practical know-how
Jonas Piepenbring took his first truck driving lessons during his commercial training. A few months after graduating, he successfully passed his driving test. He has been a permanent member of the Neuss professional driver team since May 2022.
Particularly practical: during his training, Jonas Piepenbring was already in contact with many of the long-standing customers - now he knows exactly what to look out for on his journeys. "Thanks to my commercial training, I'm already familiar with the work processes and perspective of the dispatchers," he says. "Now I'm working on the other side and I'm looking forward to my driving duties." He particularly enjoys interacting with his experienced colleagues and, of course, driving the trucks himself - always with the latest equipment at Rieck.
