A construction trailer as a tiny house was the catalyst: Arvid Reinwaldt came up with the idea of equipping his new home with a self-built separating toilet. Three years later, another prototype followed - in an allotment garden without a sewage connection. And so it was clear: this idea could set a precedent and inspire more than just camping fans.
Professional product development began in 2021. The BOXIO urine-diverting toilet has been on the market since 2022 - handy, environmentally friendly and at a fair price. The brand is backed by the company Duschkraft - Arvid Reinwaldt is one of the founders of the Rostock-based start-up.
The BOXIO makers were looking for a fulfillment service provider - and found what they were looking for at Rieck: The request landed at HOMTRANS in Kavelstorf via Rieck Fulfillment Solutions in Berlin. "This means we have the logistics partner for our online store right on our doorstep - it's a perfect fit," says Stefan Goletzke, Managing Director of Duschkraft GmbH.
HOMTRANS stored the first products in March 2022. The logistics team also assembles the sales kits for retailers and pre-drills the holes so that customers can use BOXIO immediately.
Every day, HOMTRANS sends countless shipments directly to end customers from all over Europe. In addition, bulk orders from retailers are packed on pallets and sent on their way. "We are ready for more projects," laughs Ronny Zellhorn. "And we're not running out of ideas for new innovations," promises David Bredt, Duschkraft co-founder and Managing Director.
