Input from outside? Always right and important. Nevertheless, it is a priority for us as a company to promote our employees so that they can develop their full potential with us and we can fill management positions with our own staff. Because not only do they grow, but we also grow with them and the expertise they have acquired in a wide range of areas.
The basis for this is not only a high level of appreciation for our employees, but also open communication, a constructive feedback culture, a great team spirit and, of course, workshops and training courses - we have critically reviewed all areas with our Fit For Future change program and pushed them forward once again.
Today, we are presenting three of our successful "Rieck home-growns" as examples.
Hands on and get things done
This is the credo of Thomas Behm, who applied for a job at Rieck 30 years ago following a tip from his relatives. As a trained car mechanic, he started in our furniture/trade fair department and particularly appreciates the team spirit, the variety and the opportunity to make a difference. He now brings his "go-getter" mentality to our company as Head of Handling Operations.
Just try it out
René Fichtner has been with us since his training as a forwarding agent. He likes the opportunities to try things out: He started in the insurance department, where he first became team leader, then head of risk management and authorized signatory. In 2022, he moved to the headquarters of Rieck Projekt Kontrakt Logistik as Branch Manager Rieck Fulfillment Solutions.
Developing perspectives
Julien Schlierkamp has also already completed his training as a forwarding agent with us and is convinced that everyone can find the job that suits them best at Rieck thanks to individual support. He started in procurement logistics, mastered his degree in business administration at the same time and then worked as an assistant to the forwarding manager/management and as head of customer service. Today, Julien Schlierkamp manages the national Groupage Production division.
